Celebrating Diversity
Join the Chicago Public Library in celebration of diverse history and heritage throughout the year. The library observes six heritage months annually. These months include:
February: African-American History Month
March: Women’s History Month
May: Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month
June: LGBT Pride Month
September/October: Hispanic Heritage Month
October: Polish American Heritage Month
Throughout each designated month, the Chicago Public Library features a variety of programs highlighting the culture,traditions, and contributions to society of these groups.
