Chicago Public Library Design Contest 2011 – Deadline Extended, 3rd Judge Added!
Great news, artists! We have extended the entry deadline for the 2011 Chicago Public Library Design Contest! You now have until Sunday, September 18 to submit your original poster design. Haven’t started yet? No worries. This year, we’re looking for posters that celebrate any of the past 20 One Book, One Chicago selections OR the overall theme of Chicago reading together.
We’re also thrilled to announce our 3rd and final contest judge… Nick Scimeca! Nick is Creative Director at We Can’t Stop Thinking, the Chicago “idea house” that delivers standout creative to some pretty impressive clients. We are very pleased to welcome Nick Scimeca to our panel, where he joins Chicago Library Commissioner, Mary Dempsey and Chicago artist, Steve Musgrave.
Beginning September 26, we’ll open up the People’s Choice portion of the contest at www.flickr.com/photos/notwhatyouthink/. Invite your friends and family to vote early and often; the People’s Choice Award Winner walks away with a framed print of their design.
Get started and get entered! Click here for official contest guidelines. Good luck!
